Press Release 11/2018 07.05.2018

Better than that was not possible for the Bergamasco crew that returns from the English trip on the Brands Hatch circuit with a very good result. The weekend promised well and the crews of the team Ghezzi-Giovanelli (# 76) and Cerati-Fondi (# 75) have been able to make the most of the two English days.

The free practice takes place without problems under a beautiful sun, qualifying in the saturday evening sees in the first session Ghezzi that take the 4th place and Cerati a 9th while in Q2 things improve with Giovanelli who takes a 3rd place in class and funds that closes 10°.

Race 1 on Sunday starts at 10:15 with the first laps characterized by the entry of the safety car for the many accidents. Good work for the two car that keep away from trouble and gain positions with overtaking and also taking advantage of various accidents. Before the mandatory pit window for the change of driver safety returns into the track, Ghezzi come into pit immediately and the undercut allows Giovanelli to gain the first position of class, position that will keep until the end of the race, ended early due to a bad accident to a McLaren. A similar strategy for the Cerati-Fondi, car that finishes 6th class at the end of the race, taking home eight precious points.

For the second Race, the drivers are galvanized, aware of the potential that the car can express on the track; departure smoothly and no contact for the Porsche that are driven without problems, in the meantime approaching the mandatory stop with the crews respectively in 2nd position (# 76) and 8 ° (# 75). The turning point, however, takes place another time a little bit before the opening of the pit window, the Cayman # 222 has an accident, safety car on the track and Giovanelli and Fondi gaining a position with the #76 car that returns to the pits in the first position and #75 on 7th place. Everything proceeds well regularly until the finish line with the positions that remain unchanged.

Autlando-Sport weekend could not get any better with the double victory of the Ghezzi-Giovanelli crew, which makes them rise to second place in the standings and the 14 points won by the Cerati-Fondi couple that allows him to overtake car #42 in the standings.
Next race will be 22/23/24 June at Misano, a friendly circuit of the Porsche where our drivers will give a hard time to the opponents in this very hard-fought championship.
